HomeBlogging TipsWeb HostingChanges in traffic after moving to Hostgator
Posted in Web Hosting on 25th January 2010

A month ago, precisely on December 26, 2009, Dearyoti.com has moved to Hostgator hosting. After a few days to move hosting and observe changes that occur in blog traffic, there was an increase in visitor traffic coming to this blog. And this fact shows that what has been said about the increase in user Hosgator is true. Why be so? may be due to the ease of access to blogs that use hosting on HostGator or because the Hostgator is very friendly to search engines.

Here is a screen shot of traffic indicated by sitemeter:

a drastic decrease on December 26, 2009, it is because there is a process of moving from blogspot to wordpress CMS, so the blog for some time could not be accessed. That day also happened during displacement hosting (propagation) for a while. At these times will be difficult to access blogs and depends also with ISP that we use, and the process will be completed entirely after 24 hours.

And this is an image I took from Google Analitic:

from the image above also shows the same report indicated by sitemeter. little by little traffic this blog has increased the number of visitors.

Search engine

Most visitors of this blog come from search engines, of course, is the most dominating Google, because this blog originally based Indonesian language and most visitors came from Indonesia and the people in Indonesia mostly use google to search for information on the Internet. And then after changing the language of this blog may only be accepted not only in local but can be received all over the world.

This is a bit of experience and traffic changes that occurred after this blog using the WordPress CMS using the Hostgator hosting, may be enlightening for fellow bloggers who intend to use wordpress and choose a reliable hosting.
