Adding WordPress Themes and Plugins using FileZilla

In this article I will give WordPress tutorials on how to add the wordpress plugin and theme via FileZilla. Because not all wordpress themes can be downloaded through the wordpress dashboard, as well as the plugin. Sometimes we get a theme or plugin that is good for developing blogs through other sources that have not been registered in wordpress. Optimizing the General Settings in WordPress

SettingIf you have to install WordPress in the hosting, then you should start to optimize the settings on your wordpress blog, this is certainly intended to make your blog look nice in the eyes of search engines and easy to find with a keyword character owned by the blog. To change and to optimize the title and description, please login to your blog. Once you are in the dashboard, look on the left and browse to the bottom, then you will see the word “Settings” as shown in the picture as well. To enter the general settings menu, you can click on the word “Settings” or the word “General“.

WordPress installation guide on hosting

This guide is of course intended for bloggers who are still novices in a blog using wordpress cms provided by wordpress.org. To create a blog using WordPress engine of course, we must prepare the domain and hosting in advance. Both can be found easily because many are providing for you, there are free some are paid. If you purchase web hosting, make sure you have Fantastico features that will facilitate us in the installation of wordpress. Without using fantastico feature, we will spend more time for the installation of wordpress. If your domain name and hosting is ready, the following is a guide how to install wordpress on hosting. To begin your guide, please go to cpanel. To log into cpanel type http://yourdomain.com/cpanel in your browser. replace yourdomain with your domain name and enter your username and password that you have while you buy hosting.

If you are in the cpanel, please find the Software / Services, and look for fantastico as an example image below:

then click on “Fantastico” and you will be taken to the page menu fantastico. on the navigation menu on the left, select “wordpress“, then the right side there will be a wordpress version information you can use. like the image below:

If the version is lower than the version currently available, you should not worry because later on we can perform the update with the last version of wordpress. To start the installation of wordpress, click on “new instalation“. then you specify the domain that you will be using as an example image below:

installed on a domain : select the domain where you might want to use. will usually have a list of domains and sub domain that has been registered on your provider.
installed in directory : no need to fill.
administrator username and password : This will be used to go to your wordpress dashboard, uses the username and password you easy to remember
admin nickname : The author who will appear in your post, (you can later change)
admin email : The email address you’ll use later received an email from wordpress if you comment (can be changed later)
sitename: is the title of your blog
deskription: a description of your blog

if it is your content properly, then you click “install WordPress“. After that will perform the data will be generated by the installation of wordpress,

to complete your installation, please click the “Finish Instalation”. and will perform the last stages like the image below;

if you want to do back-ups of wordpress username and password you have used before, please enter your email address, then username and password will be sent to your email automatically. Until here your wordpress installation process is complete, to see the default view Worpress you’ve made you please open the domain url you have used before. To make your wordpress configuration, go to your wordpress dashboard, just open http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin and enter your username and password wordpress. There you can configure to your wordpress, you can change themes, add plugins, change the blog title and description.

To guide wordpress installation process is complete, for the next wordpress tutorial I will discuss about how to optimize the newly created wordpress.
