Google Wave will be closed

Did you ever take advantage of Google’s Wave? if you’ve never used it, please you try it now, because next year you will not find this service again. Google Wave will be halted its development and will be closed later this year.

Google is famous for its projects that always loved the world of information technology users. But not with Google’s Wave. Idealist project that was first introduced in September 2009 was not fared well as other colleagues. Google was forced to close it.

“Wave has not obtained the expected level of user adoption. We do not plan to develop the Wave as a standalone product, but we will maintain the site until the end of this year and expand its technology for use on other Google projects, “said Urs Hölzle (Senior Vice President of Google) on his blog.

While Scott Morrison believes that user confusion when using Google Wave is the main reason why this Google project have a low rate of adoption.

Wave itself is actually one of the Google project is quite unique. If I may be analogue, Wave is a complete application in one container. Inside is Instant Messaging (IM), email, and functions such as Twitter microblogging. Wave strength actually among users, where each one can share music, pictures, text, etc. to fellow users Wave.
